Who are We?

More than just a "swim team", the Tigershark family provides athletes ages 6-18 the opportunity for development of self-discipline; experience in competition on both the individual and team levels and the opportunity to establish a healthy, fitness-oriented lifestyle.

The Powel Crosley, Jr. YMCA Swim Team is a year-round competitive team. We participate in both YMCA and USS (United States Swimming) swim meet in order to offer local, regional and national level competition.

Swimmers participate with groups according to their age and ability. Many qualities are developed through competitive swimming such as: physical conditioning, self-confidence, and sportsmanship character building and self-discipline.

Personal development is recognized on an individual basis and rewarded through more challenging practice sessions and keener competitive meets.

Two Convenient Locations

We offer two convenient locations in Cincinnati. Our main site is at Powel Crosley Jr. YMCA located at 9601 Winton Rd. Swimmers on the west side of Cincinnati may choose to practice at the Gamble Nippert YMCA, located at 3159 Montana Ave.

The PCY Tigersharks offer an excellent training facility that includes a 50 meter x 25 yard out-door swimming pool. Our athletes have the ability to train outdoors for much of the year.
